Study Opportunities abroad

If you are interested in study opportunities abroad, this is the time to intensify your search and preparations. Scholarships in both English-speaking & Non-speaking countries in Europe, Pacific and America start calling for applications in August & September each year. These include Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand, U.S, Canada. Others are Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, and Japan. It is important to intending applicants to be on look out. Today, we bring two opportunities. 

Ireland Fellowship Programme 2021
Ireland Africa Fellows Programme

The application process is on-going. The Ireland Fellows Programme enables early to mid-career professionals from eligible countries, with leadership potential, to benefit from a prestigious, world-class, quality education contributing to capacity building. It offers selected students the opportunity to undertake a fully funded one-year master’s level programme at a higher education institution (HEI) in Ireland. The award covers programme fees, flights, accommodation and living costs. Eligible master’s level programmes in Ireland commence in August or September each year and, depending on the programme, will run for between 10 and 16 months.

Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Chevening Scholarship in the UK
Chevening

Chevening enables outstanding emerging leaders from all over the world to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the UK. There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ Chevening Scholar, but those who are successful tend to have ambition, leadership potential, and a strong academic background.

We encourage you to apply if you meet our eligibility criteria and other requirements. Your gender, age (there is no upper age limit), sexual orientation, religion, marriage or parenthood status, caste, class, or other attributes do not matter to us. The application process for Uganda starts on 3rd September 2020.

Ireland-Africa Fellows Programme fulfills my dream for European education

On Monday, September 02, 2019 I arrived in Dublin, Ireland as a beneficiary of the Irish Aid Fellowships 2019/2020 (now called Ireland-Africa Fellows Programme) to pursue postgraduate studies in Ireland. I was part of the only 11 Ugandans selected for these fully sponsored study fellowships. In Rwanda, only 4 were selected. Read more....
